Hometown Civitan Club & Hometown Charities are tri-county clubs for Marion, Lake and Sumter counties of Central Florida. Membership is limited to women who are 18 years of age or older from this area.

 

Hometown Civitan Club & Hometown Charities are local service clubs dedicated to making the world a better place starting in its own community. The clubs meet to socialize, learn, and help people.

Hometown Civitan Club & Hometown Charities are ACTION clubs - an acronym for "Active Citizens Taking Initiative On Needs" - catering to the community needs and then works to fulfill them. The clubs have complete autonomy in community service projects and fundraising. This way the clubs are uniquely responsive to its communities.

Civitan membership empowers members to make a lasting difference through international projects as well as offering fun volunteer opportunities for nearly every schedule and level of commitment. We focus on children with developmental disabilities and as a women's club, issues that affect women. Club members follow the Civitan Creed.

The Hometown Civitan Club & Hometown Charities, Inc. serve and draw its membership from three counties in Central Florida: Lake, Marion and Sumter. The primary source of membership is The Villages, a community that overlaps into all three counties, including the cities of Lady Lake (Lake), Fruitland Park (Lake), Leesburg (Lake) and Wildwood (Sumter).  The official web sites for these geographic and political  sub-divisions follow:
